I realise I just kind of disappeared, but I swear it was for a good reason: I just went to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with mayatawi. I had a whole week of more or less doing nothing but wandering around a beautiful city and watching people be funny - with some eating and sleeping and hugging in between - and it was awesome.

I just went to South Lakes Wild Animal Park with newsbot3 and can I just tell you? It is hands down the best zoo I have ever been to.
It is wonderful. I really think more zoos should follow their example. The biggest thing is that animals live together in much bigger enclosures - obviously things that eat each other are separate, but generally, animals ( Read more... )
